Serie A gets underway with a tough contest at the Olimpico di Torino, and Eusebio Di Francesco's has named a 24-man squad for the curtain-raiser.
While plenty of new faces are included, Steven Nzonzi and Diego Perotti are both absent for the first game of the season.
"Diego Perotti won’t be involved as he picked up a slight [ankle] knock in training," Di Francesco said in his pre-match press conference.
"Nzonzi won’t be in the squad because he’s only trained once with the team.”
The coach revealed that Pastore and Cristante are both being considered for a starting role, while he has settled on his first-choice goalkeeper for the match.
"It will be tough to replace Alisson but Robin Olsen has shown quality," Di Francesco said. "He’s been at it from the get-go and he’ll start tomorrow.”
