Italy fans cast their votes on the Italian national team's official online community, with Florenzi picking up 22% of the votes ahead of Claudio Marchisio and Stephan El Shaarawy jointly on 18%.
It's the second time on the bounce that the Giallorossi star has received this honour from Vivo Azzurro, as the previous online poll was held after Italy v Norway on October 13, 2015 when Florenzi contributed a goal and an assist in a 2-1 victory.
In the match itself, Romania took the lead through Bogdan Stancu only for Marchisio and Manolo Gabbiadini to swing the advantage back in Italy's favour. Florin Andone then levelled things up for the visitors right at the death for a 2-2 final scoreline.
