Iachini: Spalletti's one of the best coaches I ever had

"Luciano was one of the best managers I had in my long career as a footballer," declared the Palermo head coach. "I've got great respect for the man both as a person and a professional."

Back at the helm of the Sicilian club after being initially sacked in November, Iachini has plenty of praise for the Giallorossi's current run of form.

"Spalletti knows how to give his team an identity and I must say that you can already see his hand in the way that they've been playing over recent weeks.

"It was like watching a different set of players the other night against Real Madrid, from a physical point of view as well."

The Palermo boss reckons Roma's progress can even serve to give confidence to his team.

"The situation with Roma can give us a boost because it shows that through hard work you can develop and improve. Of course, we need to play extremely well tomorrow."
