The Bosnian forward is the fourth Giallorossi player to take part in Roma Cares’ A Scuola di Tifo project this season. The initiative – which is jointly promoted by Roma Cares and AS Roma – aims to raise awareness of sporting values among primary and secondary school students.
“It’s great to be here – children are the future,” Dzeko said during the event. “I was a kid just like you and I grew up alongside my classmates. Respect and help one another and don’t neglect your studies!”
The event, which was organised at the Istituto S.Orsola in collaboration with Geco Animation, also saw participation from some Euro Basket Roma players, as well as coach Valerio Bianchini, who managed to rope some of the pupils into an impromptu game of three-on-three.
Attention inevitably turned to the Giallorossi’s upcoming league match against Fiorentina, with Dzeko commenting: “We’re coming off the back of a great run of six wins, but now the only thing that counts is tomorrow’s match. It’s going to be a tough one because we’re up against a top side that plays some lovely football.
“We play at home and it’s vital we have the support of our fans. We will try to give our all. The league is still wide open but the crucial thing is to win the match tomorrow.”
Below are the best snaps from the morning.
