Pallotta: Spalletti is fantastic

Jim Pallotta has dubbed Luciano Spalletti's impact at Roma as "fantastic."

The Giallorossi president was met by a swarm of journalists as he touched down in the Italian capital this morning. Pallotta praised the Roma coach, revealing that he should have hired him sooner, before answering brief questions on Walter Sabatini and Francesco Totti.

"Spalletti is fantastic, I wish I’d brought him in earlier," began Pallotta.

The team are winning, are you happy?

"I’m very happy with Spalletti."

Will you meet Walter Sabatini this week?

"Every time I’m here, I see Walter. He’s not feeling well, he has the flu."

How long will you stay here?

"At least a week."

Have you spoken to Francesco?

"Have I talked to him or will I talk to him? Every time I’m here, I talk to Francesco. Everybody’s making too big a deal of it."
