De Rossi, El Shaarawy, Florenzi called up for Italy training camp ahead of Euro 2016

Daniele De Rossi, Stephan El Shaarawy and Alessandro Florenzi have been named in Antonio Conte's 28-man squad for a training camp in Coverciano as Italy begin their preparations for this summer's European Championship

De Rossi is back in the Azzurri fold for the first time since September 2015. He made his last appearance for the national team on 6 September, converting the match-winning penalty in a 1-0 victory over Bulgaria.

The 28-strong group, which doesn't include players involved in cup finals with their respective clubs, will report to Coverciano on Wednesday 18 May for the first phase of the training camp.

On Monday 23 May, Conte will name his squad for the second phase of the Azzurri's build-up to Euro 2016, which includes friendly matches against Scotland on 29 May, in Malta, and Finland on 6 June, in Verona.

Between the two friendlies, on 31 May, Italy will name their final 23-man squad for this summer's tournament in France.

Italy are in Group E with Belgium, Republic of Ireland and Sweden. They kick off against Radja Nainggolan's Red Devils at the Stade de Lyon on Monday 13 June.
