“It will be an even contest between two good sides,” said the Giallorossi coach. “I want to see some progress from us so we go into final phase with some impetus.”
Roma have already secured their place in the Final Eight and are looking to maintain top spot in Group C of the Primavera league. The Giallorossi currently lead Palermo by three points with three matches to play in the regular season.
“Luckily we have three games before the play-offs which will keep us focused. They will be three derbies against Lazio, Latina and Frosinone that will keep our eyes on the prize and prepare us for the tricky end of season play-offs.”
The Giallorossi won the reverse fixture 2-1 but the coach was unwilling to draw parallels between the two matches.
“It will be a different game to the one earlier this season. We'll be at full strength, so there will be a few changes both for us and them. The only thing we mustn't lose is our willingness to play football and win with it. The two recent breaks in the league season have allowed us to train very well. We know what our targets are and the side is built to stay the course.”
