“We all aspire to win the title,” declared the Giallorossi coach. “I can see the team is very motivated and focused on getting the right result.”
This is yet another Final Eight for you, how does your approach change year after year?
“It doesn't change at all, representing Roma at the highest level of this national competition feels as good as it ever has done. We took advantage of the break to recharge our batteries and train well ahead of the final stage.”
Is there the risk of underestimating an opponent like Virtus Entella?
“Whoever knows the Primavera championship knows full well that any team you come across will present a tough challenge. The eight best teams in Italy have made it here, so we'll have to fight and play at our best level.”
The Giallorossi are still going to be missing a few players.
“We've got used to absentees throughout the season. Nevertheless, the team is strong and we've achieved big things regardless of the players we were missing. A side like Roma has to be able to perform well in such an important competition.”
Roma and Virtus Entella face off tomorrow at the Stadio Enzo Ricci in Sassuolo at 17:30 CEST. Follow updates on asroma.com.
