Defender Eros De Santis says Roma Primavera are brimming with confidence and determined to beat Inter in their Scudetto showdown on Tuesday.
The Giallorossi U19s face the Nerazzurri in the league semi-finals at 20:30 CEST.
“We have to stay together real tight and watch out for the individual quality they have in their team,” the 18-year-old told Roma TV, ahead of the crunch encounter in Reggio Emilia.
“If we play as well as we can, I think we can go all the way. We're in top form at the moment.”
De Santis, fielded at right-back in Saturday's 2-0 quarter-final victory over Virtus Entella, has featured in a variety of positions across the back line this term.
“It's important for a defender to be able to do a job in any position nowadays. Wherever the gaffer wants to play me, I'll put everything into it and just do what he tells me.”
Will you be looking for revenge after going out to Inter in the Coppa Italia earlier in the season?
“That was an unusual game as we were missing lots of players. We didn't play on level terms but we still gave our all. We have everyone available this time. We're really up for it and determined to make the final.”
How do you beat Inter?
“They're an excellent team, really solid, and they have a couple of players in particular that we really need to be careful of. We'll be wary of them but go out there to play our game. We'll pull out all the stops.”
