Eight Roma players will participate in this summer’s European Championship in France.
With the deadline for naming the final squads for the tournament arriving on Tuesday, the 24 participating nations all submitted their 23-man squads – with eight Giallorossi players receiving good news.
Daniele De Rossi, Stephan El Shaarawy and Alessandro Florenzi were all named in Antonio Conte’s selection for the Italy team, while Radja Nainggolan and Antonio Rudiger survived the final cuts for the Belgium and Germany squads respectively.
Norbert Gyomber was named among the defenders for Slovakia’s squad in their first appearance in the tournament – while full-back Lucas Digne (France) and goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny (Poland) had previously seen their participation confirmed prior to Tuesday’s submission deadline.
Euro 2016 gets underway on June 10, as hosts France face Romania at the Stade de France in Paris.
