Salah scored in the 13th, 62nd and 70th minute to put Roberto Donadoni's visitors to the sword, and ensure another impressive victory for the Giallorossi.
And Salah, while pleased with his personal contribution, knows the team must continue to kick on if they want to challenge for trophies this season.
"I'm delighted about the hat-trick," Salah said. "We have to carry on exactly as we are. We want to win every game.
"The international break is about to begin and afterwards we have to continue in this manner. We all want to win something for Roma."
Salah had further opportunities to score a fourth goal - including one notable moment when he squared the ball across goal rather than shoot from six yards.
"I wanted to pass it to Perotti, but I'll get it right next time!" the forward joked.
Roma now have a two-week break before they return to domestic action away to Atalanta on 20 November.
