Alberto De Rossi's side led 4-0 at half-time after a rousing first-half display against the Biancocelesti, in a game that ultimately saw two visiting players see red. Soleri then added his third of the game early in the second half, sending the Giallorossi into the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia in emphatic fashion.

Marco Tumminello and Davide Frattesi were the other goalscorers for Roma.
