Gerson will make the first Serie A start of his career on Sunday evening against Pescara
The Brazilian midfielder, a summer arrival at the club, has been named in Luciano Spalletti's starting XI for the game at the Stadio Olimpico - his third career start for the Giallorossi, following Europa League outings against Viktoria Plzen (a) and Austria Wien (h).
Elsewhere there is no place for Daniele De Rossi - meaning he will have to wait to make his 400th league appearance for the club - but Radja Nainggolan does make his 100th league appearance for Roma.
