Gallery: Friendly at Trigoria for senior squad and Primavera

With a number of players away on international duty, the game was an opportunity for coach Luciano Spalletti to work closely with the rest of his squad in a match situation, alongside some of the club's developing youngsters.

It was an also an opportunity for some players to work on their match fitness - with Antonio Rudiger playing for the Primavera XI just a day after training with the first-team squad for the first time since undergoing surgery on his knee in the summer.

The game finished 3-2 to the senior side, thanks to a brace from Juan Manuel Iturbe and one from midfielder Gerson.

Primavera's goals came from Emanuele Spinozzi and Keba Coly.
