Describing it as another "important step" in his rehabilitation following knee surgery in the summer, this week Rudiger posted footage of him working with the football during a session at Roma's Trigoria training base.

"The next important step: The football is back on my feet!" Rudiger wrote.

The Germany international resumed running in the middle of August, and continues to make progress as he rehabilitates from the injury that kept him out of this summer's European Championship in France.
