Roma's Champions League play-off first leg ended 1-1 at Porto on Wednesday night. It was a good result ahead of the second leg, however the Giallorossi are far from home and dried - they require a win or goalless draw at the Olimpico to qualify for the group stage. Roma's last 1-1 draw on the road in Europe's premier club competition came on 25 November 2014. Rudi Garcia's side took the lead at CSKA Moscow courtesy of a Francesco Totti free-kick - extending his record as the competition's oldest goalscorer at 38 years and 59 days - but were pegged back by Vasili Berezutski's dramatic leveller deep into stoppage time.
Four members of Roma's 23-man squad list for the Champions League made their first appearance in the competition against Porto - namely Alisson, Juan Jesus, Emerson Palmieri and Leandro Paredes. The game at the Dragao also saw full debuts for Alisson and Juan. Federico Fazio and Thomas Vermaelen - who featured in the Champions League at their previous clubs - made their first appearances for the Giallorossi too.
Felipe's own goal was the fifth time an opposition player has put through his own net to open Roma's account for the season. Here are the other four:
1953-54: Roma 4-0 Genoa, first win at the Stadio Olimpico via an own goal from the Rossoblu's Bruno Gremese;
1954-55: Novara 1-2 Roma, Pietro Pombia og;
1960-61: Napoli 1-2 Roma, Celso Posio og;
1980-81: Como 0-1 Roma, Piero Volpi og.
It's now six years since the Giallorossi last won on the road in the Champions League. Roma last came away with maximum points on their travels on 3 November 2010, when they beat Basel in Switzerland in Matchday 4 of Group E. Jeremy Menez, Francesco Totti and Leandro Greco were all on target in a 3-2 victory. Roma haven't won away on the continent in Europe's premier club competition since then, though they did emerge with all three points at Feyenoord in last season's Europa League last 32 - Adem Ljajic and Gervinho found the net in a 2-1 win.
The number of years since Roma last made it through a Champions League knockout tie. Luciano Spalletti's side beat Real Madrid in the last-16 with a 2-1 win in the first leg at the Olimpico and by the same scoreline at the Bernabeu in the return. The Giallorossi haven't progressed at the business end of the tournament since then, going out to Manchester United (Champions League quarter-final 2008), Arsenal (Champions League last-16 2009), Shakhtar Donetsk (last-16 Champions League 2011) and Real Madrid (last-16 Champions League 2016).
The match at the Estadio do Dragao was the first time in the club's history that Roma have played on 17 August. The date of the match marks a new entry in the annals of the club dating back to 1927.
Alisson and Juan Jesus' involvement took Roma's all-time Brazilian contingent to 40.
Felipe's own goal ended a run of 700 days without a "helping hand" from an opposition player in the Champions League. Roma's opener at the Dragao was the first time an opponent had put through his own net since 17 September 2014 at home to CSKA Moscow. A clumsy piece of defending from Sergei Ignashevich gave Roma a 5-0 win over the Russian side. Seven-hundred days exactly.
