Having recently moved to the top spot in their group, De Rossi's team now face a big game against one of the sides hoping to challenge them over the remainder of the campaign.
“This is a big weekend because there are lots of head-to-heads being played, not least the one we're involved in," De Rossi said. "We're playing away against a team who have done really well this year, far exceeding expectations.
"They've caught everyone's attention and they have a game in hand so they're right up there in the mix for the top spots. It's going to be tough.”
Roma aren't at full strength though...
“This is Roma we're talking about so we can't complain just because we're missing two or three players. That's no excuse. The only thing that's a bit annoying is it's three players in the same position.
“We've reached an important stage of the season and these last three matches before the Christmas break could set the trend for the rest of the campaign.”
Genoa will be looking to get back up in the top positions.
“And quite rightly too. They're a very good side and they've had some excellent results. We'll be ready for them, though. It's going to be an evenly matched encounter and it'll be won by whoever plays best as a team.”
