Thomas Vermaelen starts for Roma for the first time in 2017, as the Giallorossi play Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday.
Vermaelen forms a three-man central defence alongside Federico Fazio and Antonio Rudiger. It is the Belgian's fifth Serie A start for the Giallorossi, his last coming against Chievo in the club's final game of 2016.
Otherwise the team has a familiar look, with Edin Dzeko leading the attack with support from Diego Perotti and Radja Nainggolan.
