The Giallorossi succumbed to a 4-2 defeat at Parc OL on Thursday night, meaning they need a huge return performance against Olympique Lyon at the Stadio Olimpico next week if they are to reach the competition's quarter-finals.
Despite the first leg result, the Argentine believes all is still to play for.
“No [it's not over] – we just need to think about ourselves and the return leg," Fazio said. "We played very well in the first half, but something was missing in the second. All is not lost, however.
"We still have the return leg, which is a crucial game for us. It’s important that the Olimpico is full, like this stadium was today.”
Fazio scored Roma's second goal of the game - which could yet prove crucial in the final reckoning.
“We need to stay positive and believe in ourselves," Fazio added. "I’m convinced that this team, this group, can win the return leg. That’s why it’s key that all the Roma fans come to the stadium next Thursday and are there with us.
"It’s such an important game, the next leg. Nothing is lost. These are two-match affairs and there’s one game to go.”
