Moreno helps guide Mexico into the semi-finals

Moreno, who scored in his side's opening draw against Portugal, thought he had got on the scoresheet once again in Group A - only for his strike to be ruled out for offside by the VAR technology system being trialled in the tournament.

Mexico nevertheless won in Kazan, thanks to goals from Néstor Araújo and Hirving Lozano, to move on to the last four.

They will face the winners of Group B in Sochi on June 29, with the opponent to be decided after the final round of group games on Sunday.
