The Giallorossi midfielder, himself from Ostia, went back to the school he studied at as a child and spoke about various subjects with the pupils, including how to accept defeat, acknowledging your opponent, respecting the rules and fighting racism.
"It’s always nice to go back to the school you studied at as a little one," De Rossi said after the event. "I did it a few years ago as well.
"Speaking with children who are the same age as my daughter is particularly nice. I was struck by how knowledgeable and serious the pupils were about delicate issues like racism, bullying and fair play."
‘A Scuola di Tifo’ is the campaign to raise awareness about the values of sport promoted by Roma Cares in collaboration with Geco Animation. It is aimed as primary and early-secondary school children.
