The Giallorossi side has been drawn in Group A, alongside the home team Borussia Dortmund as well as Ferencvaros Budapest, CSKA Moscow and Werder Bremen.
Meanwhile Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Rapid Vienna, Monaco and Schalke 04 make up Group B.
On 3 and 4 August, all the teams in each group will face off against one another. Games will last 40 minutes, 20 minutes for each half, with victories worth three points and draws worth one.
The top two teams in each group will advance to the semi-final stage. If two or more teams are level on points, they will be separated by goal difference.
Roma will begin on 3 August at the Stadion Rote Erde, where they will face CSKA Moscow before taking on Ferencvaros Budapest. The following day, the Giallorossi will play Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen at the Montanhydraulik Stadion.
The semi-final matches are scheduled for 5 August. The games will be 30 minutes each way, with the winners advancing to the final on 6 August.
The final and the third-place playoff will both be games of 40-minute halves.
