"The recovery is going well," Emerson began by saying. "It has been about a month and a half, I will work hard to return as soon as possible."
One fan enquired about the moment on the final day of last season where Emerson and Francesco Totti embraced, with Il Capitano appearing to take a moment amidst an emotional day for him to offer words of encouragement to his injured friend.
"I really did not expect that Francesco would stop and say something to me," Emerson said. "It made me very happy at a difficult time.
"He told me that I am young, strong, and that accidents like the one I suffered happen but must be faced head-on."
The left-back revealed he felt last season's win over Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico was his best individual performance of the season, although his goal against Villarreal in the Europa League also stood out. He is looking forward to competing in the Champions League this season - "it makes the campaign even more important" - and expects to be asked to work very hard under new coach Eusebio Di Francesco.
"Yes, I expect to run even more!" he joked. "You could see how hard his Sassuolo always worked, and they were a very offensive side."

Emerson agreed with one fan that next summer's World Cup is a major target for him, with his unfortunate injury preventing him from making his debut for adopted nation Italy last month. He also revealed that the Colosseum was the first landmark he visited when he arrived in Rome.
In one of the more humourous answers of the Q&A, Emerson revealed he is an avid Football Manager player - and that he always buys the in-game version of himself for whichever team he is managing!
