After finishing second in Serie A last season the Giallorossi now begin preparations for a new campaign that includes Champions League participation - and Jesus is eager to get to work.
The Brazilian believes the arrival of new coach Eusebio Di Francesco will help the squad reach new heights.
"It was a good season last term, we gained the most points in the history of the club - but now we want to do better and know we can," Jesus, after the squad arrived in Pinzolo to begin pre-season.
"I have faced Sassuolo a lot of times and it was always difficult. Now [Di Francesco] is our Mister and he will be a great boost to us, especially as someone who likes the tactical side of things. It's a great thing also because there is a new enthusiasm around the place and everyone wants to do well."
Jesus expects Napoli and Juventus to be strong rivals once again in domestic competition, but believes it might be much closer at the top of Serie A.
"Last year we [three] were some way ahead of the others, but the two Milan sides have had a good transfer market so far," he noted. "But I think we are on the rise.
"I'm ready to play wherever to help the team."
