Fazio scored midway through the first half to erase a surprise Benevento lead, before Edin Dzeko, Cengiz Under (twice) and Gregoire Defrel (with his first goal for the Giallorossi) wrapped up a convincing victory.
"It was important to win this match," Fazio said. "We had to open up, then we scored five goals, so we're satisfied.
"We're pleased for Cengiz [Under] and Gregoire [Defrel] and now we must continue developing."
The task now for the Giallorossi is to continue their winning streak, starting with next weekend's trip to face Udinese.
"It's a crucial game and it won't be easy away to Udinese," Fazio added. "We must maintain the same attitude. We were forced to come from behind tonight, but from then on we didn't give them a sight of goal so easily.
"Something was wrong [recently], but now we must work hard, keep up this progress and carry on winning, which is the most important thing."
