Vicky Losada signs for Roma Women!

The club is delighted to announce that renowned Spanish midfielder Vicky Losada has agreed a deal to join Roma Women.

Losada, 31, has signed a contract with the Giallorosse that runs until 30 June 2023.

She will wear the No. 14 shirt for the club.

“I am delighted to be here, I can’t wait to make my debut and begin to meet the fans and explore this city,” Losada said.

“I come here eager to get started, there are so many targets that we want to achieve together.”

Capped more than 60 times for Spain, Losada is also one of Barcelona’s all-time leading appearance makers, having won the Spanish title six times with the Catalan club, along with seven Copa de la Reina crowns and the UEFA Women’s Champions League in 2021.

During her illustrious career to date the Terrassa-born playmaker has also represented Espanyol, Manchester City and Arsenal – winning the FA Women’s Cup with the latter in 2016.

She also spent a brief period in the United States, representing the Western New York Flash in the NWSL in 2014.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Vicky to Roma, a player we had identified as a top target,” said Betty Bavagnoli, the club’s Head of Women’s Football.

“Her experience, leadership and quality on the ball will provide great examples to some of our young players and will play a pivotal role in the continued growth of our squad.”

Losada will soon join up with coach Alessandro Spugna’s side, who currently sit top of Serie A and are in the draw for the quarter-finals of the Women’s Champions League in their first appearance in the competition.

    Welcome to Rome, Vicky!
