Toyota becomes AS Roma’s new Main Global Partner

AS Roma are delighted to announce a sponsorship agreement with the Toyota Group, which will see the internationally renowned automotive brand become a new Main Global Partner of the Club.

The Toyota Group will now accompany the Giallorossi both on and off the pitch and the Toyota brand will appear on the training kits of all AS Roma men's and women's teams, starting immediately.

"It is with great pleasure that we welcome Toyota to the Giallorossi world,” said Pietro Berardi, Corporate Chief Executive Officer of AS Roma.

“This is a partnership that allows us to face our upcoming challenges, both on and off the pitch, alongside a partner with whom we share not only values and principles related to sport and sustainability, but also the ongoing determination to ensure we always offer the best to those who put their trust in our brands."

The link between AS Roma and Toyota will extend well beyond the club’s training centre, spreading onwards into the streets of the Italian capital.

The Group will provide the club with a fleet of electric Toyota and Lexus vehicles and a full range of mobility services thanks to its own brand KINTO, which also becomes AS Roma's new Mobility Service Provider.

With the 2022-23 season now underway, Toyota will therefore provide AS Roma with a complete package of products and services to meet its evolving mobility needs, based on a more sustainable and environmentally friendly approach.

“Standing at Roma’s side from this season onwards is a further demonstration of Toyota’s commitment to both the world of sports and to companies that are focused on sustainable mobility,” said Luigi Ksawery Luca’, CEO of Toyota Motor Italia.

“It is a partnership that fits in seamlessly with our ongoing plans, which have identified sport as a sector with the principles and values in place to help promote a sustainable, safe and inclusive society.

“It is a great privilege for us to be able to put our fleet of electrified cars, and our mobility services, at the club’s disposal – doing so with the conviction that this partnership will help us to further pursue our goals of sustainability and respect for the environment.”

In line with the sustainable approach the Giallorossi have adopted in recent times, the Toyota Group's KINTO brand will complete the club’s mobility offerings by proposing innovative solutions adapted to the needs of users.

These range from rentals, car sharing and car-pooling to the platform 'Kinto Go' - the multimodal integrated mobility app to help individuals plan everyday travel (public transport, train, micro-mobility, parking and more).

“Lining up alongside a football club as prestigious as AS Roma to represent sustainable mobility is further confirmation of the successful link KINTO is building with the world of sport,” said Mauro Caruccio, CEO of Toyota Financial Services Italia and CEO of KINTO Italia.

“It is with great pleasure that we are launching this partnership with a club that has already shown its ability and willingness to take on significant challenges away from the football pitch – implementing a range of invaluable initiatives that benefit entire communities.

“We are confident that together we will be able to develop many further initiatives, because KINTO’s purpose is to ensure the widest range of freedom of movement for all, through a diverse range of straightforward, inclusive and sustainable mobility solutions.”
