Betty Bavagnoli thanks Fabio Melillo after trophy-laden spell

Here is what the club's Head of Women's Football, Betty Bavagnoli, had to say in tribute to departing Primavera coach Fabio Melillo's work over the past four seasons.

On Sunday evening, after guiding Roma Women's Primavera side to a third straight national title, coach Fabio Melillo announced that he will be relinquishing his post.

Here is what the club's Head of Women's Football, Betty Bavagnoli, had to say in tribute to Melillo's work over the past four seasons.

“We thank Fabio Melillo for the exceptional work he has done across these four amazing seasons, which has seen the team win the national title three years running.

"Roma's target as a club has always been to develop talented young players and build a competitive side out of them, and what Fabio has managed to achieve in that vein is clear to all in the courage, determination and mentality the group has consistently demonstrated.

His passion and love for Roma has ensured he has always given his very best for the club - and being the true football man he is I am sure that he will continue to give that same effort wherever he goes next.

"I want to wish Fabio the very best of luck for his next steps in his career and, once more, thank you."
