Nina Kajzba completes Roma Women move

Kajzba, 17, has signed a contract with Roma Women that runs until 30 June 2023.

“Joining Roma is an enormous opportunity for me, I feel lucky and honoured to be able to join this squad and this club,” said Kajzba.

“This will be my first season away from home. I am ambitious and I want to show that even a youngster can adapt to playing overseas and play to the best of her ability.”

Kajzba joins from ZNK Pomurje, the Slovenian side with whom she scored 32 goals in 14 games last season.

One of those goals came in the Champions League, a competition in which she made four appearances.

That form earned her a debut for the Slovenian national team, in a win over Slovakia.

“We are delighted to be able to welcome Nina into the Roma family,” said Betty Bavagnoli, the club’s Head of Women’s Football.

“Nina is still a very young player, but one with huge potential and great talent. We are sure that with us she can continue to improve and realise that potential.”
