Lombardo to become club’s new Chief Football Operating Officer

The new director will report to the club’s General Manager (Sport), Tiago Pinto, and oversee the Sporting Area.

AS Roma are pleased to announce that Maurizio Lombardo will begin work as the club’s new Chief Football Operating Officer on March 1.

The director, who will report to the club’s General Manager (Sport) Tiago Pinto, will be responsible for the Sporting Area - while he will also hold an important institutional role in liaising with national and international organisations.

Lombardo - born in Trieste in 1974 - began his career in 1999 at Triestina Calcio, where he served as the club’s Youth Academy Secretary.

From 2011 until 2020 he was the General Secretary at Juventus FC, a role he also filled for the seven years preceding that at Brescia Calcio.
