    Paloma Lazaro joins the Giallorosse!

The club is delighted to confirm the signing of Spanish forward Paloma Lazaro.

Lazaro, 26, is the first signing of the summer for Roma Women - joining the club after spending the 2019-20 season at Fiorentina.

"I chose Roma because it’s a club with a great history behind it," Lazaro said.

"It's an historic club, with an ambitious plan for the future."

Lazaro has represented Rayo Vallecano, Madrid CFF and Tenerife in her career – winning the Spanish league title in 2010-11 with the first of those three clubs.

At the start of 2019 she moved to Italy, scoring six goals in 11 games for Pink Bari over the second half of the season. That brought her to the attention of Fiorentina, for whom she played throughout last season.

In the end Lazaro finished the abridged season with La Viola with four goals in 10 appearances.

"I’m a forward who likes to get on the ball," Lazaro said.

"My real strength is in one-on-one situations. I don’t have a fixed position, I prefer to be able to move across the frontline.

At international level, Lazaro has represented Spain at various youth levels; finishing third at the Under-17 World Cup in and runners-up at the Under-19 European Championships.

    Welcome to Roma, Paloma!
