Bavagnoli confident in side ahead of tricky Bari trip

Roma Women coach Betty Bavagnoli is eager to get back down to business, as Serie A resumes this weekend following the winter break.

The Giallorosse are back in action on Saturday, as they face Pink Bari in Puglia (kick-off: 12:00 local time).

The game sees Bavagnoli's side return to Bari having won their in the cup earlier in the season, and the boss is expecting a similarly tough game this time around.

On that occasion, extra-time goals from Andressa Alves and Andrine Hegerberg proved the difference between the sides.

“The squad have returned in good shape; a short break like we’ve had is helpful for restoring the energy and overcoming a few injuries," Bavagnoli told Roma TV.

"The girls are looking sharp despite the length of the break, now we’re back in action and we’re hoping to start well."

She added: “I’m expecting a tough game against Pink Bari – just as hard as it was against them in the Coppa Italia. We have prepared well, it should be a good game played with courage and determination.

"We want to come home with the three points and put on a show too.”
