Pallotta reveals growing frustration with stadium progress

AS Roma president Jim Pallotta has revealed his growing frustration with the pace of progress as he looks to begin construction of the Stadio della Roma.

Pallotta, who first unveiled formal plans for the 52,500-seater stadium in 2014, issued an update on the latest events surrounding the project via the club’s Twitter account on Wednesday.

“Sent senior stadium staff from Boston to Rome hoping to make progress [on the stadium project] but city officials were too busy to meet,” Pallotta said.

“Maybe a new stadium, big investment and lots of new jobs in Rome is not that important. If fans want a new stadium, they need to demand action.”
