Zaniolo: We must be ready to go again tomorrow

Nicolò Zaniolo may have scored his fourth goal in four games but despite helping Roma on their way to a third consecutive Serie A win, the 20 year old insists no one is getting carried away...

“I'm delighted with the goal but above all I'm happy we've beaten a team that's always up there with us challenging for the European spots. We'll need to win a lot more head-to-heads if we want to achieve something great.”

Are you aware that you're improving as a team?

“We're doing really well defensively and that allows us to perform well in attack too. That's something the boss is drumming into us. We're following him 100% and the results are there to see. We're very happy about that.”

Do you feel less tired when you win?

“Yes, but we must be ready to go again tomorrow because we have an important game on Thursday that could help us progress to the next round. We have to work hard every day and focus on every little detail. That's what we're doing and hopefully we can keep it up."

What happened after the Sampdoria game?

“We were below par in Genoa. Afterwards we spoke together in the dressing room and said we needed to do better – we have and the results are coming for us now."
