Sadiq Umar agrees deal to join Rangers on loan

Roma can confirm that the club has reached an agreement with Glasgow Rangers for the loan of striker Sadiq Umar.

Sadiq, 21, joined Roma’s academy from Spezia in the summer of 2015 – immediately joining up with the club’s Under-19 side.

He made his senior debut for the club against Genoa in November 2015, and scored his first senior goal for the club in January 2016.

An Olympic bronze medallist with Nigeria in the summer of 2016, he spent the 2016-17 season on loan at Serie A side Bologna. Last season he had two further loan spells, at Torino and Dutch side NAC Breda.

In total Sadiq has made six appearances for the Giallorossi, scoring two goals.
