On Tuesday evening, ahead of Roma's Champions League meeting with Real Madrid, Francesco Totti will receive his official Hall of Fame shirt - completing his confirmation as one of the most important players in Roma history.

Totti, both the club's all-time leading appearance maker and goalscorer, was officially inducted into the Hall of Fame the day after his final game for the club (28 May 2017).

On Tuesday, he will walk out in front of the Curva Sud to accept his Hall of Fame jersey - and join the other great names in Giallorossi history who have been added to the Hall since its foundation in 2012.

Every one of those players has received a special jersey to celebrate their induction - here are a few more details about the shirt itself.

    - The jersey was designed at Trigoria in the spring of 2012 and is produced every year by a tailor (Mario Calvo), who used to make club suits for the team in the 1970s.

    - Two jerseys are produced for each Hall of Famer. One goes to the player being inducted, while the other stays with the club and will eventually be stored in the club's museum at the proposed Stadio della Roma site.

    - The jersey is made from a special type of merino wool. For the outfield players, the jersey is red with dark yellow trim, while the goalkeepers’ jerseys are black with yellow and red trim. The jersey is essentially a tribute to two previous Roma kits: the collar is reminiscent of the kit from the 1980s, while the use of three buttons is associated with the kits of the 1960s.

    - The three buttons are used to represent the three clubs that merged to create AS Roma. The jersey is slightly nipped in at the waist, like the Kappa kits from the 2000-01 season.

    - The words "AS Roma Hall of Fame" are embroidered onto the breast of every jersey, followed by the player’s full name and their year of induction, which is also found on the right sleeve. The left sleeve features the name of the player, and – only in the case of the jersey that remains in the possession of the club – the words "AS Roma" in red against a yellow background (this is the only piece of embroidery on the jerseys not in white).

-The font used for the embroidery is an italic font that was widely used for the club’s headed paper in the 1940s and 1950s.

    - The jerseys feature two crests, both of which reflect the colour changes introduced in 2017. These saw a return to traditional colours (Francesco Totti was the first Hall of Famer to receive a jersey with the updated colour scheme). The crests are: the club crest (in line with the brand refresh of 2013) on the breast and, on the right sleeve, the Hall of Fame crest.
