De Rossi reaches 450 Serie A appearances

Daniele De Rossi made his 450th Serie A appearance on Sunday, moving to 30th in the all-time list of most appearance makers in the division.

It was ultimately a frustrating afternoon for the Roma captain, who was forced off before half-time through injury as the Giallorossi were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at the Stadio San Paolo.

De Rossi made his first Serie A appearance back in January 2003, in an away defeat against Como. Almost 19 years later, he reached 450 - all with the same club.

Seven other one-club players have made more Serie A appearances. Francesco Totti (619) is the only Roma player among that list.

AC Milan defender Paolo Maldini leads the all-time list, having made 647 appearances in the Italian top flight for the Rossoneri during his career.
