Three academy graduates agree new long-term contracts

The club is pleased to announce three promising products of the academy system have agreed new long-term contracts with Roma.

Full-back Nura Abdullahi and forwards Mirko Antonucci and Sidy Keba Coly have all committed their futures to the Giallorossi, following in the footsteps of striker Marco Tumminello - who signed a new deal in the summer.

Nura and Keba have signed four-year deals that will keep them at the club until June 2021, while Antonucci has put pen-to-paper on a five-year extension with his boyhood club.

Nura Abdullahi

Right-back Nura Abdullahi, 20, is a member of the club’s first-team squad, although he is yet to make a senior appearance for the team.

A member of the club’s 2015-16 title-winning Primavera squad, he was promoted to the first-team group in 2017 but injuries have prevented him making his first-team debut.

Sidy Keba Coly

Forward Keba Coly, 19, is currently in his second season with the club’s Primavera side, helping them win the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa last term as he scored 16 goals in all competitions.

He also scored the winner for the senior side in a friendly against San Lorenzo last season, and went on the club’s pre-season tour of the United States this summer. He has represented Senegal at youth level.

Mirko Antonucci

Forward Mirko Antonucci, 18, joined the club’s youth system during the 2011-12 season, progressing through the ranks to Alberto De Rossi’s Primavera side. He scored in Wednesday’s UEFA Youth League victory over Qarabag and, earlier in the month, also scored twice for the senior side against Chapecoense in a friendly at the Stadio Olimpico.

An Italy Under-18 international, Antonucci went on the club’s pre-season tour of the US this summer – coming on as a second half substitute in the club’s International Champions Cup clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
