Totti's final shirt successfully launched into space

Mission complete: on Tuesday night history was made as Francesco Totti's final shirt as a Roma player was successfully launched into space

The iconic No. 10 shirt was worn by Totti for the final time on May 28 this year, with the club subsequently suggesting that the moment be immortalised by sending a replica version of the shirt into space.

That suggestion gained Totti's endorsement - and was then brought to life by Avio, a worldwide leader in the field of space travel.

The flight plans were drawn up in Italy and, on Tuesday night, the rocket 'Vega' carrying Totti's shirt was successfully launched in French Guyana.
