Patrik Schick believes he is in the ideal place to continue his development, after he completed his move to Roma on Tuesday afternoon.
The Czech international joins the Giallorossi on an initial loan deal from Sampdoria, after the club beat a host of top European sides to his signature.
And Schick is already looking forward to getting to work with his new teammates.
“I think for me Roma is a very sympathetic team," Schick told Roma TV. "I like also the coach [Eusebio Di Francesco], his tactics - and I like the formation as well.
"For me, Roma is the ideal team.”
Schick scored 11 goals in his first season in Serie A last term, playing predominantly as a striker but also in a number of roles across the frontline.
He believes his versatility will be an asset to Di Francesco.
“I use my left foot so I feel good on the right side [of the attack] as well," he noted. "I prefer to play as a No. 9, in attack, but I can play on the right as well.
“Physically I am okay. I am looking forward to training with the team and to get ready for the [upcoming] matches."
"I didn’t expect a lot of people like was there [at the airport, it was really amazing. Thanks to all the fans - forza Roma!"
Schick was subject of rapturous welcome at Fiumicino Airport on Monday evening, as his arrival in the Italian capital was greeted by hundreds of Giallorossi fans chanting his name.
"I didn’t expect a lot of people like was there, it was really amazing," he added. "I like this type of fans and I’ve never seen this before, so it was amazing.
“A big salute to all the Roma fans, thanks to all of you. Forza Roma!”
