The club is pleased to confirm that midfielder Daniele De Rossi has signed a new two-year contract with AS Roma.

The 33-year-old has signed a new deal with the Giallorossi that expires on 30 June 2019.

The central midfielder, a product of the club’s youth academy, has made a total of 561 appearances for the first team, scoring 59 goals.

He has also won over 100 caps for Italy, winning the World Cup in 2006.

During the 2016-17 campaign De Rossi made 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals.

Four of those came in the last five games, as he helped the Giallorossi finish second in Serie A and secure automatic passage into next season’s Champions League group stage.

De Rossi made his debut for the club in 2001.
