Abraham: "I've been dreaming of this moment since the beginning of the season"

Tammy Abraham spoke to the media after his late header helped Roma earn a draw against Napoli on Sunday evening.

Here;s what the English attacker had to say...

Your goal helped earn one point in a difficult stadium.

“Of course. It is never easy to come here. This is a squad that won the title last year, so coming here is always challenging. We didn't have many opportunities, so we had to dig deep as a team.

“I told myself before the corner to focus on getting in the right place, and luckily, I was there when the ball came towards me for the goal.”

How much did you want to get back on the scoresheet one year after your last goal? How do you feel?

“I've been dreaming of this moment since the beginning of the season. I had a severe injury and it was all about preparing both physically and mentally.

“I'm feeling much better. I had waited a long time for this first goal. It's a dream. I'll celebrate with my teammates and family, and then get ready for the next game.”

You will now face a team that has not lost in 46 games. How do you beat Bayer Leverkusen?

“We're a team that enjoys challenges, especially me. We'd love to be the team that ends their run.

“But we must pay them respect. They are a good squad that has been amazing this season. We need to be prepared. We want to advance to the final. It is going to be a good game.”
