Roma fans from around the world can now show their passion for all things Giallorossi on their Instagram Stories, thanks to a new series of club GIFs.
In January Instagram introduced the ability for users to add GIFs – animated stickers – to their Instagram Stories, and fans now have a range of Roma-specific options to choose from.
Thanks to a partnership with Giphy, the leading GIF platform, users who search ‘Roma’ or ‘AS Roma’ in the Instagram Stories GIF library will be able to choose from eight official club stickers to add to their creations.
Along with the club badge, the iconic ‘Lupetto’ logo and a ‘Forza Roma’ animation, animated Stephan El Shaarawy and Cengiz Under stickers will be available – with many more to be added over the coming weeks.
Over the last three years Roma has made extensive use of GIFS on social media to engage, entertain and converse with fans around the world – thanks in part to the opening of an official profile on Giphy in June 2016.
To date, Roma GIFs have received a total of almost 470 million views.
Now the medium comes to Instagram Stories, a platform used regularly by more than 300 million users around the world, to allow Giallorossi fans to show off their passion in new and inventive ways.
The launch of GIFs on Instagram Stories is just the latest step in the club’s aim to become one of the most fan-focused and digitally connected clubs in the world.
