Tumminello joins Crotone on loan

TUM

Young striker Marco Tumminello has joined Serie A side Crotone on a season-long loan deal.

Tumminello, who signed a new contract with the Giallorossi at the start of the summer, will spend the 2017-18 campaign with Crotone, who are embarking on their second season in the Italian top-flight.

Tumminello made his competitive debut for Roma during the 2015-16 season, against Chievo Verona. Last weekend he made his first senior appearance for the club at the Stadio Olimpico, coming on as a late substitute in the 3-1 defeat against Inter Milan.

The 18-year-old, a member of Italy's Under-20 squad, also scored the winner against Tottenham Hotspur in this summer's International Champions Cup.

As a part of the club's Primavera side for the last two seasons, he won the Serie A title, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italia under coach Alberto Di Rossi.

"Thank you Roma for six great years of great moments and development," Tumminello wrote on Instagram. "But thanks most of all for this chance to go to Crotone - I will see you soon."
