Nainggolan signs new long-term contract

Roma are delighted to confirm that midfielder Radja Nainggolan has signed a new four-year contract with the club.

The midfielder has committed his long-term future to the Giallorossi, signing an extension to his current deal that now runs until 30 June 2021.

"I think I have demonstrated that this is what I always wanted," Nainggolan said. "So I’m very happy, especially that the club and I can continue our adventure and move forward together."

Nainggolan joined Roma in January 2014, and has so far made 161 appearances for the club - scoring 27 goals.

In 2016-17 he enjoyed perhaps the finest season of his career to date - scoring 14 goals in all competitions as he was named the club's Player of the Season by fans.

"We're delighted Radja has committed his long-term future - and the most important years of his career - to the club," Roma president James Pallotta said.

"Last season, he was arguably one of the best midfielders in the world and it's no surprise that he was linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

"But there was never any question of him going elsewhere - he loves Roma and we love having him here."
