Salah thanks former Roma teammates after award win

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah today thanked his former Roma teammates after he was named BBC African Footballer of the Year

The 25-year-old, who joined Roma in August 2015 and scored 19 goals for the Giallorossi last season, told the BBC: “I’m very happy to win this award, it’s a special feeling for me. I’d like to thank everybody; my teammates and the people I work with. Last season I had a very good season with Roma, so I need to thank my teammates [there] and also my teammates in the national team.”
