AS Roma can confirm that Seydou Doumbia has joined Newcastle United FC on loan

The Cote d'Ivoire striker, who spent the first half of the season at CSKA Moscow, joined AS Roma in January 2015. He made 14 appearances and scored two goals for the Giallorossi last term.

Here is the club statement on all transfers completed by AS Roma on the final day of the January 2016 transfer window:

Seydou Doumbia has joined Newcastle United FC on loan until 30 June 2016 with an option for the English club to make the deal permanent.

Midfielder Luca Mazzitelli has joined Sassuolo Calcio after his loan transfer to Brescia Calcio was terminated.

Dutch midfielder Ismail H’Maidat has been signed from Brescia Calcio and loaned to Ascoli Picchio until the end of the season.

Midfielder Emanuele Ndoj and defender Michele Somma have joined Brescia Calcio on permanent transfers. The Albanian midfielder will remain at AS Roma on loan until the end of the current season.

Left-back Nicola Falasco has joined the club on a permanent deal from Pistoiese 1921 and been loaned to Cesena until the end of the season.

Mendez Olivera has completed a temporary switch to Swiss outfit Lausanne Sport until 30 June 2016.
